It’s Perfect Weapon but for Sega Saturn. It’s bad. There’s a Playstation version of this game, but it performs much better overall and is easier to control. Not by much, but the Saturn version is noticeably worse.

So The Crow is horrendous, the controls and camera angles make it hard to even figure out how to get anywhere, I love that you actively need the crow symbols on the floor to point your way
Sometimes you’re stuck behind invisible geometry because reasons. The music is a jam and this would be funny to watch. Good lose screen too.

Level 1: Tavern Link to heading

The game begins at a waterside tavern in the City of Angels. You’ll find that this biker bar is full of would-be tough guys eager to mess with your mind – and your “body!” Explore every nook and cranny to discover where the action is.

The camera angles in this level are pretty bad, but overall there’s not much to say. Just avoid getting cornered by enemies. The crow sigil points the way to the next area.

Level 2: Pier Link to heading

Your struggles continue dockside, where some scummy dope-fiends try to get under your skin.

This level is where they introduce guns. Guns are strong. They will kill you, fast. A combination of flinching and slow acceleration means you basically get stunlocked by a simple handgun.

Level 3: Ship Link to heading

On the deck of the ship, it feels like they want you to kill the gunmen boss by picking up your own gun, but the controls are imprecise and you don’t have much time. I just rushed the closest guy and tried to angle myself so the enemies would shoot each other. In the cargo bay of the ship, after you defeat all the construction workers, a new one will show up with a grenade launcher. You can get one too, behind the propane tanks, but you’ll probably die getting it.

There’s a section where you have to cross a green sludge pit with electrical wires. You can swap between wires with left and right.

📝 Notes Link to heading

  • Sometimes you and the AI both really want to attack, but don’t give enough time to turn to face each other so you just end up krumping next to each other for a bit
  • The roundhouse kick has good range and hits a wide arc, but it’s also slow. Thankfully, the enemies take a lot of hitstun.
